In 2018, we launched our clothing line. Our mentor and good friends were producing it in their small atelier in Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico. We had a few good couple of years but like most things, the Pandemic forced us to make some tough decisions as the atelier was forced to closed its doors. After a few conversations and the blessings of our friends, we hastily rented some available studio space and moved the machines to Bahia de Banderas, just a few miles from the shop. After a few fits and starts, many late night conversations and learning the ropes of producing your own clothing line, we settled into a groove and our atelier has become a place of both experimentation and rigor where design and sewing come together in informed collaboration. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of seeing new styles emerge from the atelier, once just a handful of ideas, broadcloth and thread bobbins, now fully realized pieces. It’s delightful, sometimes stressful, but always a rewarding process.
